Before you sew
- Recommended fabric
- Medium- to heavyweight woven fabric; fabric with slight structure gives a sharper shape.
- Fabric required
- At 140 cm width, main fabric: XS–M: 1.1 m; L–2XL: 1.25 m; 3XL–4XL: 1.4 m. Lining: 0.2 m; the source does not split lining quantity by size.
- Notions
- 2 buttons, 1 zipper, back-waist elastic, and fusible interfacing for the front waistband, pocket welts, and pocket flaps.
- Size advice
- Choose by body measurements: 12 cm hip ease. The pattern uses standard sizing; adjust lengths for height and body proportions as needed. Measure the front rise of well-fitting trousers and choose the closest pattern front-rise measurement.
- Key challenge
- Elasticate the back waist and account for the longer left-front waistband; choose by a suitable front-rise measurement and set the front crease with pressing.
