Before you sew
- Recommended fabric
- Down-jacket shell fabric with down-proof interlining and lining.
- Fabric required
- At 140 cm woven width, main fabric: XS–M: 2.9 m; L–2XL: 3.2 m; 3XL–4XL: 3.5 m. down-proof interlining: not split by size in the workbook: 7 m. lining: not split by size in the workbook: 2 m. The workbook also recommends adding about 20% for cutting loss when making the garment.
- Notions
- 2 zippers, snaps, 0.2 m rib knit, and cotton or down filling.
- Size advice
- Choose by body bust measured over underwear; design ease is already included, and you may size up or down one size for the preferred effect. The fit runs small; size up one size if a less fitted result is preferred.
- Key challenge
- The detachable hood is the complex part; fill the down-proof layer with cotton or down and assemble it with the outer and lining; the project requires two zippers; the fit runs small.
