Before you sew
- Recommended fabric
- Crinkled chiffon or chiffon with lining; use velvet or woven contrast fabric for the neck tie.
- Fabric required
- At 140 cm width, main fabric: XS–M: 3.2 m; L–2XL: 3.6 m; 3XL–4XL: 3.9 m. contrast/secondary fabric: not split by size in the workbook: 0.2 m. lining: not split by size in the workbook: 2.7 m.
- Notions
- Center-back zipper, elastic, and contrast fabric for the neck tie.
- Size advice
- Choose by body measurements: 4 cm bust ease; 2 cm waist ease. The pattern uses standard sizing; adjust lengths for height and body proportions as needed.
- Key challenge
- Roll-hem and gather the bodice ruffle, then stitch elastic 1.5 cm from the edge; stitch elastic at the cuff or 7 cm above it; roll-hem and gather the skirt ruffle, and cut the lining shorter than the outer layer.
